I am now a college graduate ! ! ! !

Finished Summa kum laude with a 4.0.
(the strange words we have to create to get rid of the dreaded ***)

Below is my thanks to all of you. My sincere apologies that it is coming so late.

The ceremony was held outside , even though there were several light showers that rolled through both before and during the ceremony. And with all my sunblock , I managed to miss a strip right above my eyes and ended up with a sunburn there. Of all places.

Once I get a decent pic , I will try try try to remember to post.

Thank you all again for all of your support.

Now comes the hard part , like Finance class or Tax class wasn't hard , finding that next , new , better job !

In 2002, I stood in front of a very tall, cloud-shrouded mountain and faced the daunting task of getting to the top. How would I ever make it??

On August 19 of that year I took my first step on the path that led to the base of that mountain and over the past seven years I have slowly made my way through all the twists and turns of that path—climbing ever higher and higher.

Although the way was rocky and the summit always obscured from view, I continued on. Why?? Because of you.

You have given me encouragement, support, kindness, and lots of “you can do it” hugs and e-mails.

To say Thank You just doesn’t seem enough, but it is all that I have.

Thank you for believing in me.

Thank you for your never ending support.

Thank you for your constant encouragement.

Thank you for your kindness when I was absolutely positive that a “bad” grade was going to crash down upon me and change my world forever.

Thank you for your patience and understanding when I went into full Geek mode while working on a paper or presentation or project or when I just had to make sure all my homework was color-coded. Because, as you may know, us geeks just can’t sleep at night unless our homework is color-coded.

My journey started in August of 2002, and on May 16, 2009, I will reach that summit, feel the warmth of the sun on my face, gaze out at the far-reaching horizons and plant my flag of Success! with a wooo hooooo whoop and a Big Sigh of relief!!

Thank you one and all for everything that you did that helped me to be successful in my efforts to break through those clouds and reach the top of that mountain.

(My Fehr-ette, Marjorie, got her B.S. in Studio Art the day before Mom's Day. What a present for me: she graduated magna c u m* laude, and I'm proud as I can be! Now, if she can just fimnd a job, we'll be cookin' with gas!)
