Didn't want to clutter Cara's lovely "The Kiss" thread w/ this garbage...so I'm posting this here. I wrote this sucker back in...September of 1997. Her fic brought it from the deepest recesses of my memory. lol. I hadn't thought of it in years.
THE INVITATION As you sink your teeth Deep into my skin I am wondering, If it's ecstasy I am feeling Or despair? With a deep groan You pull away I have no strength You have drained my life You kneel next to my collapsed form You tell me everything will be fine We shall be together for eternity Your wrist, Glistening with the offer of life Calls to me There is an all consuming ache that cannot be denied. With a moan, I raise my head Until my lips touch your wrist Is the life's blood you offer Worth the price I will pay To the demon within? You laugh with glee While I feed from you. As my humanity slips away, I curse you! You are still laughing I have now "become". Now you will be My mentor... My love... |

 Well it sure comes through in your poem, Sibbie! Thanks so verra much for sharing this, and I really hope you enjoyed revisiting it - I know I liked it a whole lot!
