Bought my PotC: At World's End DVD on Saturday evening and watched it almost non-stop for a day or so. Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix came in the mail yesterday, so Daniel, Rupert, Emma, et al and I have been cozy for a while, too.

Netflix sent me Kingdom of Heaven a few days ago and, although I also have it on videotape, I've been watching it steadily, too. (Thought it might have been the extended version Karri mentioned several months ago, but it wasn't.)

When's the last Resident Evil DVD due out? Soon, I hope...!

STUPEFY!!!! biggrin.gif Oh...my...god, I love that movie (Harry Potter, for those (not you Mama Hen, you KNOW!) who are not yet familiar with the Stupefy Charm). I find new things every single time. AND DAMMIT, if Gary Oldman winks at me one more time I'm gonna attack 'im or something - LOLOL!

And whooah...can we tawk about POTC At World's End? Again, something new to love each and every time, and I adore that there's so much awesome broad humor along with the subtle. And truly, I think Jack's at his best here...in that he can turn on the serious for a moment if it's merited. Yaaaaaaaaaaaay JOHNNY!! biggrin.gif

Anyone for Sweeny Todd? ;D

Lurves,

I can't wait for Sweeney Todd!!! The man-boy will be home for the holidays, and that's what we're gonna do: dinner at the Melting Pot (including drinks - he's driving!), and then Sweeney Todd. Since he won't be here for my birthday, it's going to be Christmas and birthday all rolled into one. A handsome young man in uniform ... and Johnny Depp (I must have been a good girl this year!).

A friend of mine in the Student Services Office here on campus usually gets us free tickets for sneak previews of films that are coming out soon. (We caught Dan in Real Life, Superbad, American Gangster, to name a few...) Marjorie asked me yesterday if he'd gotten any for Sweeney Todd because she thought there was going to be a sneak preview tonight.

He didn't have any, but said he called the Atlanta office that sends the tickets and they said they'd try to get him some. They were also supposed to be sending some for The Great Debaters -- which I want to see, too, 'cause some of the folk portrayed in that film were at Fisk at some point and the filmakers actually consulted with our Library's Special Collections area for background info on the debates and the debaters...

And yes, Carissima, to reiterate our conversation on Friday: STUPEFY!! (Yeah, Gary Oldman could stupefy me any ole day -- with just one of those winks...!)

Woman, you better than to bring that up when I'm WORKING!! LMAO!! What're you doing (What AAAARREE you doing? NO, what're you doing?...somebody stop me!)

GREAT...now I'm shot-to-you-know-what for the day...HAHA, thank goodness it's 4:30 - LOL!

Oh - serious by the way - I would SO love to see the Great Debaters, too. Hey, I did get an AMC Theater gift card for Chanukkah! It looks like a wonderful, truly worthwhile film...I've heard tell that the kids are kick-arse performers, and I believe it!

Loves and peeps,
